Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Structural/Mechanical Design Engineer to develop, integrate, and document payload system designs using 3-D CAD tools, with emphasis on aerospace structures. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with production, suppliers, and customers.

You will test, validate, and optimize designs, lead supplier development and part validation, and explore new technologies to meet program goals while building strong relationships with production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 2+ years engineering experience.
• Proficient with CATIA and Enovia.
• Strong communication across teams.
• Knowledge of aerospace structures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, integrates, and documents mechanical and structural payload system requirements.
• Maintains and manages mechanical/structural designs across lifecycle.
• Performs tests to verify design conformance.
• Leads supplier development, test, and production coordination.
• Investigates emerging technologies for future designs.
• Communicates technical information with teams, suppliers, regulators.
• Develops repairs and 3D-printed test parts; collaborates with machine shops.
• Builds relationships with production teams.
