Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of functional testing protocols, report generation, and approval routings.
- Develop concepts for assigned tasks and obtain approval from the customer.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Service, Regulatory, and Procurement.
- Design support and coordinate with vendors for prototype development and tooling support.
- Document and implement Change notices and Change requests through Change orders in the Customer PLM system.
- Hands-on experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks and Pro Engineer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related engineering or scientific fields (e.g., mechanics, micro-mechanics, materials).
- Long-term experience (e.g., 6-10+ years) in designing, developing, and manufacturing plastic disposable kit products for regulated industries such as medical devices (Class II and/or Class III).
Skills:
- Part qualification and redesign activities to reduce costs.
- Using data to make informed decisions and improve processes.
- Evaluating costs and making value-based decisions.
- Innovative thinking to improve value.
- Understanding of the Life Science industry, including automated liquid handling systems, cell counters, analyzers, flow cytometers, etc.
- Building relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to decision-makers.
- Making data-driven decisions considering various factors and risks.
- Dimensional analysis using statistical software (Minitab) for mold validations.
Salary Range:
The expected salary range is between $67,500 and $130,000 annually, subject to relevant skills, experience, location, and other factors.
