Process Mechanical Engineer

MISSION:

Develop innovative projects to achieve performance improvements compared to existing processes. Study projects from concept to detailed design and construction for chemical, petrochemical, or industrial plants, focusing on all mechanical aspects while adhering to client specifications, project KPIs, cost, schedule, local regulations, and international norms. The scope includes E2A/ESBN (Asia zone, ESBN plants such as chemical or petrochemical plants).

• Lead mechanical engineering design during conception, co-conception, or retrofit of existing units. Coordinate mechanical studies with other disciplines in PDP-FEED and Detail Engineering to ensure compliance and define mechanical package and assembly boundaries. Ensure design conformity with project specifications, local regulations, process performance, cost, and schedule.
• Prepare technical tenders and support procurement activities during technical clarifications with OEM vendors. Identify and highlight potential deviations in technical, cost, and lead time aspects.
• Manage process evolution through mechanical improvements within the Asian ESBN perimeter. Provide expertise to support process development aligned with group strategy. Develop technical analysis and CDCT for mechanical projects, ensuring relevance throughout project development.
• Coordinate and monitor mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, testing, and acceptance phases.
• Support commissioning and start-up activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical and Process Engineering.
• Experience in commissioning and construction is an advantage.
• Primarily based in Bangkok, with flexibility for short-term upcountry assignments.
• Ability to work under high pressure, handle challenging situations, and work autonomously.
• Fluent in English.
• Positive mindset.
