Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years industrial experience in a high-speed consumer product manufacturing or staff environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate design, development, optimization, problem solving, and operation of assigned assets and supporting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, support troubleshooting, reduce obsolescence, and improve reliability of assets.
  • Develop and deliver equipment and processes that meet safety requirements, policies, and guidelines.
  • Support and lead major initiatives, breakthrough improvements, and high-level plant problem solving.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and participate in strategic obsolescence planning.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with complex troubleshooting and reliability projects.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and trial planning, providing engineering support and on-call shift coverage as needed.
  • Provide input to plant expense and capital plans, aligning proposed changes with the 5-year vision.

Kimberly‑Clark invites applications for the Lead Mechanical Engineer role. The position focuses on design, development, optimization, and support of assigned assets and processes to meet safety and operational performance expectations.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
    • 3+ years industrial experience in diverse technical or operational assignments in a high‑speed consumer product manufacturing and/or staff environment.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, completing projects within required timeframes.
    • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience in high‑speed manufacturing asset support and in technical/operational roles.
    • Knowledge of tissue‑making production equipment, materials, and processes.
    • Experience writing and presenting updates to leadership.
    • Experience with plant manufacturing, staff support, or capital projects, including utilities and asset support.
    • Experience working with external technical service providers and machine startups.
    • Familiarity with Kimberly‑Clark engineering procedures and processes.
Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: 96,100 – 118,700 USD (US locations only). Includes target bonus, 401(k), and profit‑sharing plan.
