Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of complex HVAC systems in Cary, NC. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive feasibility studies, and deliver detailed engineering documentation across project phases.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of HVAC design experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. This on-site role offers growth and collaboration with top-tier life sciences facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 4 years leading or supervising engineers and designers on multidisciplinary project teams.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience within building design industry.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, including load calculation and energy analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex mechanical HVAC systems, including air handling, chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, dehumidification, controls, and utility systems.
• Serve as Project Lead through all project phases, including feasibility studies, building assessments, basis of design reports, and detailed engineering documentation.
• Manage project scope, budgets, staffing requirements, schedules, and technical deliverables in partnership with Project Managers.
• Oversee and mentor engineering and design teams, reviewing work products and ensuring quality, code compliance, and design excellence.
