Job summary

EXP.com in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer to advance design across mission-critical and commercial building projects. You will work with a talented team, lead design efforts, coordinate with MEP/Arch/Struct, and mentor junior staff while delivering codes-compliant drawings and specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong leadership and communication skills; EIT/PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience for building systems.
• Experience with mission critical, data center, or telecom environments preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to mentor designers.

Responsibilities

• Produce/coordinate drawings and specs for mechanical systems.
• Prepare and review load calculations and calculations for codes.
• Select and schedule equipment and review vendor specifications.
• Respond to RFIs and review submittals; ensure project milestones.
• Coordinate with MEP/arch/struct and other disciplines.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and provide design guidance to staff.
• Develop scope of work narratives and ensure compliance with codes.
