Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Lead Engineer for the Next Generation Products (NGP) team in Evendale, OH. You will own hardware across the NPI lifecycle—from requirements and design to test, qualification, and delivery—while mentoring the broader team.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and project teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. This on-site role reports to an Engineering Manager in Evendale, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical design or mechanical analysis engineering position.
• This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned components for advanced military products.
• Adhere to business standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements.
• Leverage prior mechanical design experience and broaden knowledge of one's own technical discipline to meet product deliverables within schedule and budget constraints.
• Demonstrate systems-thinking mentality to understand how work of one's team integrates with others to achieve product requirements.
• Exhibit autonomy to make decisions within a defined requirements framework while resolving design challenges in situations which require technical knowledge and judgment.
• Review designs and consult with senior technical leaders for evaluation of work.
• This role requires sound interpersonal skills to develop strong internal and external customer relationships by serving as an interface point within GE
