Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited has a live opportunity in Addison, IL for a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on Low Voltage switchgear and enclosures. You will own the mechanical design from concept through on-site production, delivering 2D elevations and detailed section views and collaborating with Electrical Engineers.

You will benefit from weekly specialist training, direct mentorship from senior leadership, and a pathway to management as the company expands in the LV power distribution

Qualifications

• Mechanical design experience within power distribution (switchgear or switchboards).
• Enclosure design experience with sheet metal, bolted designs, or cabinetry.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of complex Low Voltage switchgear, including 2D elevations and detailed section views.
• Collaborating with Electrical Engineers to manage the submittal and approval phase of new designs.
• Receiving specialist training and direct mentorship from VPs and senior leadership via weekly sessions.
