Markent Personnel is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for custom robotic cells and machine architecture in Brown Deer, WI. This direct-hire, onsite role offers $100,000–$120,000 per year, first shift, and opportunities to lead ground-up designs in a high-growth manufacturing environment.

You will own mechanical design integrity in SolidWorks, drive multi-axis automation projects, and work closely with controls engineers and machinists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or 5–10 years of verifiable, ground-up custom equipment design experience.
• Expert fluency with SolidWorks for large assemblies and production drawings.
• Strong manufacturing acuity with welding, machining tolerances, and material selection.
• Proven project management and tenure in heavy machinery or high-speed automation.
• US work authorization and residency within driving radius of Brown Deer, WI.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground-up machine architecture for high-speed automated machinery and robotic cells.
• Develop concepts and quote with Project Managers for cost-effective solutions.
• Guide internal detailers and coordinate with external fabrication partners.
• Integrate fluid power, drive systems, hydraulics and servo selection.
• Conduct early design reviews to mitigate safety hazards and ergonomic issues.
• Serve as technical contact for global clients and manage BOM releases with assembly floor.
