Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks an APU Internals Design Manager to lead mechanical design of critical internal components for APUs.

You will guide cross-functional teams across design, manufacture, and field support, ensure certification readiness, and drive continuous improvement through NX/Teamcenter and GD&T.

This role requires 8–12+ years in aerospace, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex turbomachinery programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12+ years of aerospace or turbomachinery experience with APU exposure.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with 3D modeling and GD&T; tolerance analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers for mechanical design of APU internals.
• Oversee 3D CAD models, drawings, engineering BOMs, and analysis artifacts per ASME Y14.5 and Honeywell standards.
• Manage engineering deliverables and staffing across multiple APU NPD and sustainment programs.
• Partner with Program Management to align schedule, technical risks, requirements, and customer commitments.
• Interface with customers and internal partners to define requirements and ensure certification readiness.
