Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5-8 years designing metallic and/or composite assemblies/components with advanced 3D modeling tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic actuation mechanisms.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials (high-strength alloys and composites) is a plus.
• Ability to model and design complex mechanical systems without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in analysis of aerospace structures.
• Design 3D components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Rhino, and KeyCreator.
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications for fabrication.
• Perform hand-calculations and preliminary sizing of structural components.
• Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure fit and function.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers through fabrication, testing, and delivery.
• Present design reviews to customers.
• Provide engineering reports and specifications.
• Mentor other engineering/manufacturing team members.
• Estimate scheduling and coordinate team efforts to meet program goals.
