Job summary

Advanced Technologies, Inc. (ATI) seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to advance aerospace structures from concept through fabrication and testing.

You will design 3D components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Rhino, and KeyCreator, and provide detailed drawings, specifications, and design reviews. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 2–5 years of experience designing metallic or composite assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2–5 years designing metallic/composite assemblies with 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic actuation.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials like high-strength alloys and composites.
• Strong foundation in engineering mechanics and strength of materials.
• Ability to model and design complex mechanical systems with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design aerospace structures and components in 3D.
• Create drawings and specifications for fabrication.
• Perform hand-calculations for initial sizing.
• Conduct tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers through design to delivery.
• Prepare and present design reviews.
• Provide reports, procedures, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineering and fabrication teams.
