Job summary

GE Aerospace in Evendale, OH seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer for Next Generation Products to own the design, development, and qualification of advanced military components, focusing on hot structural parts. You will plan and execute technical design tasks, manage hardware cost, weight, and schedule deliverables, while ensuring compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical design or mechanical analysis.
• Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with ANSYS or similar FEA software.
• Experience with NX Unigraphics for 3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned components for advanced military products.
• Adhere to business standards, practices, procedures, and product requirements.
• Demonstrate systems-thinking to understand how work of one's team integrates with others to achieve product requirements.
• Review designs with senior technical leaders for evaluation.
• Support hardware cost, weight, and schedule deliverables.
