Job summary

Infinite Electronics seeks a Principal Mechanical Architect to lead mechanical packaging, system integration, and reliability engineering for data center connectivity and infrastructure solutions.

You will partner with customers and engineering teams to translate design intent into manufacturable, scalable products, driving DFMA and robust thermal management.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Eng, 10+ years in mechanical design, and proficiency with CAD and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, electronics packaging, connectivity products.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management and reliability engineering.
• Experience with CAD and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and packaging design for data center hardware and interconnect solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and constraints.
• Develop mechanical concepts supporting functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Partner with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams for subsystem alignment.
• Conduct design reviews, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Evaluate materials, thermal performance, and environmental considerations.
• Support new product introduction and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop design standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.
• Review supplier capabilities and manufacturing processes to ensure execution.
