Tyonek Manufacturing Group, Inc. seeks an experienced mechanical/structural engineer to lead aircraft integration efforts.

You will design and develop the integration of avionics and weapons systems across multiple vehicle platforms for DoD and commercial clients, potentially serving as technical lead during design and test phases. The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, aero-structures, and experience with certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) is preferred.
• 8+ years related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD data packages including 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Design solutions for mechanical issues in rotary and fixed wing aircraft, considering weight, thermal, vibration, corrosion, and airworthiness.
• Perform Classical and Finite Element Analysis.
• Prepare and review airworthiness documents, plans, and test procedures.
• Coordinate with manufacturing engineering to improve design for manufacturability.
• Support prototype, validation, and verification of aircraft modifications.
