Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead aircraft integration efforts, specializing in the design and development of avionics and weapons system integration across multiple vehicle platforms for DoD and commercial customers.

You will potentially serve as technical lead during design and test phases, contribute to airworthiness documentation, and collaborate with manufacturing to optimize production while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 12 years of related experience required.
• Experience in aircraft structures design including sheet metal, machined and composites.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD data packages including 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Design solutions for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft with weight, thermal, vibration considerations.
• Perform Classical and Finite Element Analysis.
• Prepare airworthiness certification documents and analyses.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to improve design-to-fabrication efficiency.
• Support prototype, verification, and testing of aircraft modifications.
