Carter Machinery Co. Inc. in Myersville, MD is hiring a Mechanic Technician Advisor - Rental to lead technicians, oversee daily workloads, and ensure safety and quality on service repairs.

Starting pay ranges from $38.36 to $48.22 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires; we offer growth, competitive benefits, and opportunities to advance within a trusted, equipment-focused team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience with heavy construction equipment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and expert level troubleshooting skills; able to accurately diagnose and repair equipment.
• Ability to lead and motivate employees.
• Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to technicians on workloads and priorities.
• Direct area activities in absence of Service Supervisor.
• Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and time cards.
• Write service reports that document diagnosis and repairs performed.
• Assist technicians and mentor less experienced staff.
