Amrize is hiring a Mechanic Lead Mechanical Maintenance for the Day shift in Franklin, IN. The role focuses on coordinating maintenance activities, planning mechanical upkeep, troubleshooting, and maintaining records to reduce downtime.

This daytime position emphasizes safety and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates have at least five years in manufacturing maintenance (mechanical, electrical, millwright, welding, fabrication) and experience with PLCs, VFDs,

Qualifications

• Education: High School or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing maintenance field including mechanical, electrical, millwright, equipment installation, welding, and fabrication.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs to communicate knowledgeably with management and outside contractors.
• All positions require communication skills, accountability, attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to respond to change productively and take initiative with independent decisions.
• Must follow safety protocols and use Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects, tasks, and priorities for mechanics/electricians with plant and maintenance managers.
• Assist electricians and engineers with routine tasks as needed.
• Provide input on preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
• Develop and execute ideas to improve products and machinery methods in collaboration with engineering/production.
• Maintain plant machinery records and spare parts inventory.
• Communicate repairs and adjustments to maintenance and production supervisory personnel.
• Mentor and monitor team craftsmanship; enforce safety requirements.
