Qualifications

At StandardAero, we’re dedicated to solving the aviation industry's most complex challenges with ingenuity, quality, and expertise. StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer.With a significant 80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprintat AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and analyzes diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.

Join our team as the Lead Mechanic on our Dassault Falcon team, and you will oversee a specialized group of A&P Mechanics dedicated to Falcon aircraft (2000/900/7X). The Lead Mechanic ensures top-notch maintenance, quality assurance, and team leadership. This position requires hands-on expertise, technical guidance, and direct customer interaction to ensure aircraft maintenance is completed on time and meets the highest standards.

What to expect in this role:

  • Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and timely aircraft delivery.
  • Monitor project hours, costs, and quality.
  • Perform final walk-throughs for cleanliness and readiness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maintain a seamless customer experience.

Inspection and Testing

  • Conduct initial inspections and operational tests on aircraft and components.
  • Identify discrepancies and perform maintenance.
  • Run functional and operational checks to ensure airworthiness.

Dismantling and Repair

  • Remove and evaluate aircraft components for serviceability.
  • Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and modifications as required.

Reassembly and Testing

  • Ensure parts are ready for reassembly.
  • Reinstall components, perform operational checks, and execute engine runs.
  • Document and sign off work per FAA standards.

Manual Adherence

  • Follow technical manuals and manufacturer data for inspections and repairs

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide a team of technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the team.
  • Train and mentor A&P Mechanics, fostering skill development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Minimum 5 years of A&P Mechanic experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience servicing Dassault Falcon corporate aircraft.
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of A&P Mechanic experience.
  • Proven ability to interact with and resolve customer concerns.
  • Experience in heavy and light maintenance, service bulletins, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong team-building, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • OEM Training / Certifications with Falcon aircraft
