Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated mastery of all Mechanic B and C-level tasks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Fleet Maintenance Leadership: schedule and perform preventive maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to ensure quality and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all fleet equipment and trucks.
• Diagnose issues and perform major repairs using diagnostic tools.
• Lead safety and reporting; maintain clean, organized work area.
