Job summary

Juniper is seeking a Lead Mechanic to service and repair our truck fleet, diesel engines, and landscape equipment. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work outdoors in Florida heat.

You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and ensure all repairs are completed safely and efficiently for our crew. The ideal candidate brings experience with small engines, 2-cycle engines, and light truck repair, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Small engine repair and maintenance experience required.
• 2-cycle engine repair and maintenance experience required.
• Light truck repair and maintenance experience preferred.

Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Lead Mechanic to join our team. This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), small engine equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Repair of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
• Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use
• Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills And Requirements

• Small Engine repair/maintenance experience required
• 2-cycle engine repair/maintenance experience required
• Light Truck repair/maintenance experience preferred
• Must possess your own basic hand tools
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Report review required
• Ability to read and write the English language
• State inspection license preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
• Ability to work in fast pace environment.
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
