Job summary

Juniper is seeking a Mechanic to join our team. This role will perform service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), small engine equipment, and 2-cycle engines for our landscape operations team.

Responsibilities include repairing trucks and equipment, documenting work electronically, using computer software, and maintaining shop inventory in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Wages reflect experience and duties, with growth opportunities within our landscape group.

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and 2-cycle engines is required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear MVRO/clearance required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Repair of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment correctly, safely, and efficiently
• Accurately document all work performed to each unit electronically
• Utilize computer software for record keeping
• Order and maintain inventory of all shop supplies/equipment
• Clean repaired items prior to returning for crew use
• Keep work area and shop common areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills And Requirements

• Small Engine repair/maintenance experience required
• 2-cycle engine repair/maintenance experience required
• Light Truck repair/maintenance experience preferred
• Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Report review required
• Ability to read and write the English language
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus but not required
• Ability to work in fast pace environment.
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
