Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of automotive experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Valid CA driver's license and good driving record required.

Job description

Master Automotive Technician (FT) 60K to 90+K.

Schedule:

  1. Monday - Friday

Pay:

  1. $60,000 to $90,000+ Annually.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receives repair orders and performs work as outlined on repair orders.
  2. Diagnoses malfunctions and performs/documents repair.
  3. Works closely with the shop foreman, managers, and other service employees.
  4. Examines vehicles to see if additional service is needed.
  5. Road-tests vehicles.
  6. Maintains a safe and clean workspace.
  7. Follows all safety-related policies, procedures, and laws.

Qualifications:

  1. Three to Five years of experience.
  2. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
  3. Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
  4. Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
  5. Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
  6. Valid CA driver's license and good driving record.
  7. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  8. Attention to detail and workmanship.
  9. Basic computer skills.
  10. Skilled in written communication.
  11. A high school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.
  12. Valid ASE certification(s) is a definite plus.

Skills:

  1. Repair brake and steering systems.
  2. Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  3. Replace or repair fuel components as needed.
  4. Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
  5. Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  7. Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  8. Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
  9. Possession of or ability to obtain training credentials like an ASE certification.
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Analytical skills.
  12. Experience using hand and power tools to replace and repair parts.
