SenSpa is a busy yet peaceful 13,000 sq. ft holistic wellness center / day spa in the Presidio of San Francisco. This key individual will be responsible for overseeing the esthetics department. This includes selecting the professional and retail product mix, developing the protocols, training the staff and ensuring the expert delivery of services. This position will lead our premier esthetic team focusing on their continued development / training; coordinating monthly meetings; working towards elevating performance to the highest level. This person will work collaboratively with the Spa Management team to work towards meeting annual quantitative goals.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional client experiences in accordance with SenSpa methods, greet and welcome clients; analyze and discuss their skin care regimen; perform all SenSpa skin care services; prescribe professionally-recommended programs; explain services and treatments conducted; discuss home care and complete treatments on-time; make computer notes of treatment outcomes; adhere to uniform standards and professional code of conduct; clean room after each shift in accordance with State Board requirements and internal SenSpa checklists 100% of the time.
• Create and uphold client service, room and team standards in accordance with State Board standards. Meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.
• Continue esthetic education and share knowledge with team, training and mentoring existing and new staff. Coordinate trainings with outside vendors and product providers.
• Maintain written treatment protocols and esthetic handbook updates; updating as treatments and policies change.
• Bring innovation to the SenSpa esthetics department, by developing new treatments and researching new products. Assist in the development of a private label skin care line for SenSpa.
• Represent esthetics team in management meetings.
• Mediate disagreements between esthetics team members, leading to a cohesive harmonious department.
• Oversee maintenance of esthetics equipment, coordinating repair services as needed.
• Meet or exceed all established quantitative metrics including: service and product revenue goals; % of retail sales to services sales; request rate (not limited to only these metrics). This includes mentoring to improve the esthetic teams performance.
• Manage schedules of estheticians on the spa computer system; being able to move and create appointments as needed.
• Assist Spa Director in performance reviews of esthetics staff.
• Assist with marketing and business development projects as needed. Participate and promote various SenSpa programs to develop clientele.
• Support the SenSpa culture and its principles. Participate in Spa team activities including attending team meetings and events.

Job Requirements: California Esthetics License, 5+ years esthetics experience, minimum of one year supervisory or teaching experience. You also must have a positive attitude, great work ethic and team spirit. Must be able to work either a Saturday or Sunday shift.

Wage: Hourly Wage plus Commission, Retail Sales Commission, Annual Bonus, Paid Breaks, Tips, Sick Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401K, Commuter Benefits.
