Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for conducting and supporting routine, scheduled, unscheduled and corrective maintenance at all levels of the hospital buildings. Incumbent will work closely with the hospital nursing staff to identify and remedy any areas of concern. In addition, incumbent will work with staff and managers to support work load challenges/needs and will meet and communicate with managers within buildings to discuss and plan work flow.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • Understanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards

  • Skill to effectively act as a unit resource lead and lead to staff

  • Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.

  • Must work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needs

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license

  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Current State of California Driver's License

  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manuals

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
