Position Summary:

We are seeking a Full-Time Lead Mechanic for a permanent position supporting a high-profile client site in Suffolk County, NY. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC and Refrigeration systems, including chilled water systems, boilers, and other mechanical, electrical, and building systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in technical execution and support junior technicians while ensuring work aligns with client expectations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support HVAC maintenance and repair tasks
Troubleshoot and calibrate HVAC components (e.g., thermostats, burners, relays, etc.)
Use standard HVAC tools (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, hand tools)
Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems
Identify and mitigate maintenance risks
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
Perform emergency repairs and warranty services
Maintain accurate daily logs and maintenance records
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior staff
Respond to customer inquiries and service requests
Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Three (3) years of HVAC experience preferred
Trade or vocational certification in refrigeration/HVAC preferred
