Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Manager, MDR & Threat Hunting to lead a remote US-based team. You will translate complex threat intelligence into executive-facing value, maintaining customer confidence and retention through proactive leadership and clear guidance.

You will oversee weekly to quarterly engagements, set quality bars for deliverables, and partner with executives to demonstrate MDR value. This role reports to the Director, MDR & Threat Hunting.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and applications within security.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and detection opportunities for EDR and proxies.
• Experience in two or more EDR platforms and writing detections.
• Proven track record in managing customer-facing deliverable teams and executive communications.
• Proficient in detection and response using network or Web Proxy telemetry (Zscaler or equivalents).

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of customer-facing threat hunters and MDR specialists.
• Own full talent lifecycle: skill development, performance feedback, and career ladders.
• Serve as senior escalation point for customer security teams during intrusions and investigations.
• Manage recurring customer engagements translating threat activity into actionable guidance.
• Define quality standards for MDR deliverables and ensure alignment with Zscaler branding.
