Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an Advanced MCE Wind Technician to join our Main Component Exchange team. This on-site role requires leading field work, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while performing on-tower repairs and diagnostics on wind turbine components.

Expect 100% travel across North America, with responsibilities including lifting operations, LOTO, JHAs, and collaboration with customers and vendors. Strong English and turbine experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience on any Platforms.
• Direct turbine specific experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers.
• Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience required with lifting knowledge.
• Knowledge of generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
• Must be proficient in English for safe communication.
• Ability to climb a wind turbine vertically to at least 300 feet.
• Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA safety compliance.
• Lift and move equipment over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members by supporting lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250'.
• Oversee lifting operations with verified skills and lifting plans.
• Conduct safe and efficient repairs to Wind Turbine electrical systems.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as authorized.
• Conduct pre-task planning, JHAs, and RAs, and daily safety discussions.
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Document all work in electronic formats and feed feedback to Safety and Quality.
