Job summary
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies is seeking a Lead MBSE Systems Engineer SME to support directed energy programs in Knoxville, TN with remote work flexibility. Lead systems engineering activities, develop architectures, and guide cross-functional teams in delivering secure, field-ready capabilities.
You will work on MOSA/SE/MBSE efforts, generate technical roadmaps, and engage with government stakeholders while transforming customer requirements into viable system
Qualifications
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years with Masters; 10 years with PhD/JD; or 19 years with HS diploma.
- Experience in Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience authoring a systems engineering management plan.
- Lifecycle management experience: requirements, architectures, integration and validation in production.
Responsibilities
- Develop requirements, architectures, integration and validation plans for directed energy systems.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs.
- Create and maintain system architectures and interface control documents.
- Lead technical activities and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive system design.
