Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks a Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join a diverse team and deliver MBSE solutions across hypersonics programs. You will standardize digital engineering practices, develop system models and simulations, and collaborate with hardware and software engineers to drive successful outcomes.

Candidates should hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 8+ years of experience (or MS with 6+ years), expertise in SysML with Cameo Systems Modeler, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or MS with 6+ years.
• Experience modeling in Cameo Systems Modeler using SysML and familiarity with Teamwork Cloud.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in systems engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and lead engineers.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain secret clearance.
• Residence in North Alabama or willingness to relocate to Huntsville area.

Responsibilities

• Develop system models and simulations to support analysis and validation.
• Define system requirements and constraints with stakeholders.
• Perform trade-off analyses to optimize system characteristics.
• Develop and maintain system architectures and interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate components.
• Provide MBSE guidance to project teams.
