Job summary

SAIC seeks a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support hypersonic programs at NSWC Crane in Indiana. This role is embedded on-site with government engineers and program teams on critical defense development projects.

You will apply MBSE and SysML, building architecture models with Cameo, ensuring model fidelity, and enabling lifecycle verification from concept through validation. Active clearance is required and collaboration across stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance (Interim Secret required to start; must be able to obtain Top Secret)
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
• MBSE experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience
• Experience in product design, procurement, or production floor engineering
• Experience designing prototypes or ensuring designs meet functional requirements from procurement through validation and verification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with program requirements
• Support SE Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and related activities
• Develop, maintain, and update system architecture models using MBSE tools (Cameo)
• Apply SysML to capture system structure, behavior, requirements, and interfaces
• Ensure model fidelity and traceability across program phases
• Assist with CONOPS development and requirements management
• Coordinate interface control documents (ICDs) and interface management
• Support V&V planning and execution, and engineering documentation
