Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Lead Engineer for the Advanced Research and Development (ARD) Division to drive digital engineering and model-based system engineering for the full lifecycle.

The role requires strong MBSE experience and a background working with DoD programs. It is onsite in Dayton, OH or Germantown, MD, with travel up to 10%. U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Software, Computational Neuroscience Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years systems engineering experience including design, decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation.
• Experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and/or SysML.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE to define interfaces, functions, and allocation across domains.
• Lead/Support automation of MBSE SysML model creation with ARD and other DISBU divisions.
• Support/lead programs in implementing MBSE as part of the digital engineering ecosystem.
• Maintain baselines for cost, schedule, risks, issues, opportunities, and metrics for program execution and product performance.
