Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer III - MBSE to join our Huntsville, AL team. You will support the Missile Defense Agency’s Chief Engineer by transforming engineering with model-based approaches and MBSE tools.

Key duties include developing system models, leveraging MBSE toolsets such as SysML, Cameo, and MATLAB/Simulink, and coordinating with internal and external teams to advance integrated models. Active Secret clearance is required to support DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or MBSE domain.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Strong MBSE experience and ability to work in a team.
• Experience with interface or interoperability engineering domains.

Responsibilities

• Assist with capturing and developing new system models to become the backbone for future efforts.
• Leverage MBSE tools to support model-based engineering work.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to collaborate on models.
