Job summary

Mathnasium Buford seeks a Lead Math Instructor / Tutor to deliver math instruction to K-12 students using the Mathnasium Method. You will lead sessions, assess progress, and communicate results to parents in a supportive, collaborative environment.

This part-time, after-school role offers flexible hours, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement within a dynamic learning center.

Qualifications

• Must love math and enjoy teaching students.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
• Willingness to be trained and grow professionally.
• Strong math skills through Algebra II or higher.
• Ability to lead while delivering instruction to groups.
• Availability at least 4 days per week: after school and weekend slots.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and collaborate with teammates to provide individualized instruction in a small group setting.
• Monitor and report student progress and engagement during sessions.
• Communicate progress to parents/guardians clearly and regularly.
• Teach in-center, online, or hybrid using Mathnasium Method and terminology.
• Become proficient with digital teaching materials and processes.
• Maintain a safe, professional learning environment and assist with admin tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra II
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities
• Availability a minimum 4 days per week between the following hours: Monday-Thursday 2PM-8PM, Saturday 10AM-1PM, Sunday 1PM-4PM
