Job summary

Breeze Airways is seeking a Lead Material Specialist to oversee daily warehousing and line material operations, ensuring accuracy and timely issue of parts across the maintenance workflow.

The role collaborates with Maintenance Operations Control to support Aircraft on Ground recovery, maintains stock levels, and leads in safety and regulatory compliance, including IATA Hazmat shipments.

Qualifications

• Six months in the role of Material Specialist or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.
• Strong technical and analytical background to provide TRAX, Excel, and other reports.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a driving record that meets Breeze Airways standards.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in accordance with TSA requirements.
• Ability to drive company vehicles, trucks, forklifts, and other Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
• Pass Materials and the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses.
• Pass Dangerous Goods (DG) IATA course and maintain recurrent training.
• Pass Dangerous Goods (DG) ground shipping and maintain recurrent training.
• Pass a ten (10) year background check and criminal history records check (CHRC).
• Valid Passport with no restrictions to travel outside of the United States.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success.
• Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Travel for the position as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and problem-solve issues associated with inventory accuracy, parts issuing, shipping, receiving, stocking, material handling.
• Responsible for warehouse operations of Technical and Non-Technical inventory.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) for movement of inventory, tooling, and special equipment for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery.
• Monitor and update stock items, minimum and maximum stock levels, and coordinate stock level adjustments with Maintenance, Purchasing, and/or other departments.
• Perform inventory audits, inspections, inventory reconciliations, and maintain compliance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
• Prepare Hazmat material shipments in accordance with IATA regulations.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance Planning to prepare fleet modification kits.
• Other duties as assigned by the Materials Supervisor or Manager.
