Job summary

Leading Edge Manufacturing LLC, dba Joined Alloys, is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer/Metallurgical Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of special processes and precision manufacturing environments.

The role involves developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, quoting aerospace components, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience required.
• BS degree in an engineering field related to aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with NADCAP and AS9100 environments preferred.
• Familiarity with special processes and aerospace specifications.
• Experience with machining and/or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
• CAD/CAM experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Quote new and repeat aerospace components and assemblies.
• Support production related to heat treating, brazing, welding.
• Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
