Job summary

SupportFinity™ is seeking a Lead Materials Developer in Beaverton, Oregon. This role is embedded in the Global Apparel Materials Team, where you will drive material innovation and mentor others in the materials organization.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of apparel industry experience, a Bachelor's degree in Textile Science or a related field, and technical mastery over yarns and textiles. This position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional partners to advance material development and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the apparel industry or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • Expertise in material development processes.
  • Experience working with domestic vendors/sample rooms/ateliers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive material development from concept to commercialization.
  • Mentor teammates and provide technical guidance across the materials function.
  • Translate trends, athlete insights, and emerging technologies into actionable development strategies.

Skills

Expertise across yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques
Proficiency working with vendors
5+ years of apparel industry experience
Agile problem-solving

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel, or a related field
