Job summary

Hillphoenix is seeking a Lead - Materials for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) to oversee and organize all production activities in the assigned area, ensuring safety, efficiency and quality in daily operations.

The role guides team members, coordinates with maintenance, supports lean initiatives, and provides input on performance; familiarity with procedures and checklists is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for the responsible area.
• Leads team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on SOPs, checklists, and quality standards.
• Coordinates with maintenance on issues and oversees safety during maintenance as needed.
• Trains, delegates, and reviews the work of lower level employees; provides performance input to the supervisor.

Lead- Materials 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm

Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for responsible area. Leads all team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc. Assists with implementation of lean methodology and/or health, safety & environment practices. Coordinates maintenance issues with the maintenance department and oversees safety during maintenance if necessary. Works with other personnel to complete equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection, commissioning, etc. Communicates with team members on all issues. Provides performance evaluation input to supervisor. May work as a backup to positions in a shift group.. A Support 4 requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities typically include: Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.
