Job summary

Dover Corp. seeks a Lead- Materials for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) to oversee and organize all production activities in the assigned area.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and production plans, with involvement in lean initiatives and environmental practices. The position requires coordinating with maintenance, ensuring safe operations during maintenance, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for the assigned area.
• Leads team members to execute production tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately per SOPs, checklists and quality standards.
• Supports implementation of lean practices and health, safety & environmental initiatives.
• Coordinates with maintenance to address issues and oversees safety during maintenance activities.
• Drives equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection and commissioning as needed.
• Maintains clear communication with the team and provides performance input to supervisors.
• May backfill other shift-group roles as needed.

Oversees and organizes all operation activities during normal production for responsible area. Leads all team members to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc. Assists with implementation of lean methodology and/or health, safety & environment practices. Coordinates maintenance issues with the maintenance department and oversees safety during maintenance if necessary. Works with other personnel to complete equipment isolation, flushing, replacement, inspection, commissioning, etc. Communicates with team members on all issues. Provides performance evaluation input to supervisor. May work as a backup to positions in a shift group.. A Support 4 requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities typically include: Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.
