Job summary

Viatris seeks a Lead Material Handler in West Virginia to manage shipping and receiving, package deliveries, and scheduling with carriers. The role includes maintaining shipping logs, handling hazardous waste documentation, and supporting yard and material flow operations.

The incumbent should have a Class A CDL, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 0–2 years of experience, strong communication, and computer skills, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. The schedule is 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 0–2 years of experience; high school diploma acceptable with experience considered.
• Must possess knowledge of forklift, pallet jack, shrink wrap bundler, boxes, tape and cardboard materials.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills; proficient with Word/Excel and Lotus Notes.

Responsibilities

• Verify quantities shipped or received against packing lists and purchase orders.
• Deliver and receive incoming packages to specified locations.
• Call trucking companies to schedule pickups; arrange UPS shipments.
• Maintain Daily Shipping/Receiving Log and prepare shipments.
• Handle hazardous waste documentation and dispose of waste properly.
