Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a skilled Material Handler II to support plant operations by overseeing the movement, sorting, and loading of donated materials while guiding Material Handler I teammates. This role emphasizes safety, Kaizen standards, and efficient workflow across the facility.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in warehouse operations, prior forklift and supervisory experience, and proficiency with Excel/Word; physical ability to lift 40 pounds and endure standing for long

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of warehouse operations experience.
• Experience loading 53', 48' containers and box trucks.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Must be able to see colors.
• Physical ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items up to 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods; work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload raw donated materials, salvage commodities, trash, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring items are placed in designated locations.
• Follow Kaizen guidelines and 5-minute drills to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in material‑handling processes.
• Lead assigned operational areas by providing direction, task assignments, and support to Material Handler I employees.
• Assist in salvage sorting operations and cross-train to support additional plant roles as needed.
• Deliver professional and courteous service to stores, administrative teams, vendors, and donors while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
