Job summary

Goodwill Southwest Florida is hiring a Material Handler II to oversee movement, sorting, and loading of donated materials at the Port Charlotte facility. Responsibilities include directing Material Handler I staff, adhering to Kaizen standards, and assisting in salvage sorting to keep operations efficient.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, supervisory exposure, and ability to work in a dynamic environment with variations in temperature.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of warehouse operations experience.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) proficiency.
• Ability to see colors.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload donated materials and related items to designated locations.
• Follow Kaizen guidelines and 5-minute drills for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead operational areas and supervise Material Handler I staff.
• Assist in salvage sorting and cross-train for other plant roles.
• Provide courteous service to stores, vendors, and donors while maintaining a safe workplace.
