Job summary

ID Logistics US in Salt Lake City is seeking a Logistics Team Leader to organize their team’s activity and achieve defined objectives. You will supervise daily operations, ensure quality, and comply with health and safety rules for goods and people, while observing customer specifications.

Leading team; support.2/3 as level 3+ 1/3 as Level 1. You will lead the team, monitor performance, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • A-level to 2 years of higher education or equivalent through experience.
  • Training in transport, logistics and management.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a team leadership function.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and control teamwork with clear rules, objectives and expectations.
  • Communicate road map and goals, know team members and motivations to inspire them.
  • Set up periodic routine of communication / monitoring / measurement of activity and objectives.
  • Encourage and support the team with feedback (recognition, improvement, reframing).
  • Ensure employees are at the expected level, provide support and/or training as required.
  • Promote process improvement and internal innovation programs.
  • Scales the workforce and equipment according to volume forecasts to meet performance requirements.
  • Prioritize operations and provide supervision.
  • Maintain regular communication with the customer and coordinate specific requirements.
  • Know and apply ID Logistics health and safety rules locally.
  • Analyze equipment checklists and ensure corrective actions.
  • Anticipate operational problems to propose continuous improvement actions.
  • Organize the workplace per sector objectives.
  • Verify procedures and objectives are up to date, respond to audits.
  • Provide and monitor KPIs, ensure information flow between team and partners.
  • Analyze deviations between planned and actual values and coordinate corrective measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
