Acadia Healthcare’s Roanoke Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) seeks a Substance Use Counselor Lead to provide high-quality counseling for patients with Opioid Use Disorder. The role includes individual and group sessions, treatment planning, and coordination with referral sources in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum education as required to obtain certification or licensure in the state the facility operates applies.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university; Master’s preferred.
• 6+ years counseling with a Master’s degree; 8 years with a Bachelor’s; 10 years with no degree.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual counseling sessions as scheduled and documents.
• Conducts group and/or family sessions and documents.
• May co-facilitate group or family sessions.
• Responsible for initial patient assessments and follow-up assessments.
• Prepares individual treatment plans for assigned patients.
