Job summary

Cloverdale Automotive Inc is seeking an experienced A-Level Auto Mechanic / Lead Master Technician in Cloverdale, CA. You will diagnose a wide range of issues, perform major repairs, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced independent shop known for quality workmanship.

Qualifications

5–8+ years of professional automotive repair experience in a shop environment.
ASE Certifications A1–A8 are highly desirable (or willingness to obtain). Master Technician status is a major plus.
Multi-brand fluency across Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, etc.
Owns a complete, professional-grade set of hand tools and diagnostic equipment for a lead role.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to lift 60+ lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

All-Makes Diagnostics: diagnose drivability, drivetrains, CAN-bus, electrical issues on diverse makes/models including diesel.
General/Heavy-Line Repair: perform major mechanical overhauls, transmissions, steering, HVAC, brakes.
Independent Problem Solving: use aftermarket scan tools and information systems to solve repair puzzles.
Shop Mentorship: mentor B- and C-Level technicians and maintain efficient shop workflow.
Customer Support: translate complex issues for service advisors and customers.
Quality Assurance: ensure high-quality workmanship and minimize comebacks.
