Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Mass Spec Senior Scientist to advance Alzheimer’s research using high-resolution mass spectrometry and LC systems.

You will design studies, operate Orbitrap instruments, and lead projects while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across departments. The role includes grant writing, data analysis, and dissemination of findings at conferences and in publications.

Qualifications

• PhD or terminal degree; postdoctoral experience required.
• Postdoctoral experience (3 years) or equivalent experience.
• Analytical skills for high-level mass spectrometry and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct and report research projects.
• Operate and maintain Orbitrap MS and LC systems.
• Lead projects and assist with grant writing and manuscript preparation.
• Mentor junior lab members and collaborate across teams.
• Analyze data and prepare reports for publication and presentation.
