Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Supervisor - Masonry to oversee Masonry crews, supervise repairs, and ensure safe, quality work on parks facilities and grounds in Davidson County.

The role requires leadership, masonry expertise, and ability to read blueprints, manage materials, and enforce safety standards in a dynamic park environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and five years of masonry repair/maintenance experience.
• Two years of lead or supervisory responsibility over a masonry crew.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to employees in the Masonry section
• Ensures employees perform work in a correct and efficient manner
• Evaluates employee performance
• Counsels with and corrects employees as needed
• Schedules, trains and oversees work for Masonry section to ensure it is completed safely and efficiently
• Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications
• Estimates materials, equipment, and manpower needed for jobs
• Prioritizes work orders and assures timely completion
• Enforces safety rules and regulations
• May operate, tow, or transport equipment or commercial motor vehicles
