Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County invites applications for the Maintenance & Repair Supervisor - Masonry. This full-time civil service role oversees the Masonry section, assigns tasks, and ensures safe, high-quality repairs across parks facilities and grounds in Davidson County.
Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and five years of masonry experience, with at least two years in a lead/supervisory capacity.
The Maintenance & Repair Supervisor - Masonry is a full-time civil service position that supervises and performs, as needed, a variety of installation, maintenance, and skilled masonry construction activities of parks facilities and grounds.
Metro’s Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of facilities and programs throughout Davidson County. Currently, the department oversees nearly 16,000 acres of open space, including 184 parks and 107 miles of greenway. Metro Parks offers after school programs for children, activities for seniors (55+), cultural arts classes, dog parks, fitness classes, nature programs, sports leagues, ice hockey, art galleries, and much more. High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in construction repair and maintenance work related to Masonry work, including two (2) years of lead or supervisory responsibility over a construction, repair, or maintenance crew responsible for Masonry work.
*Employees must register for the Metro Human Resources Supervisory Training Program prior to completion of the probationary period or work test and must complete all coursework within a 12-month period.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
