Job summary

APEM Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Consultant in Marine Physical Processes to advance coastal science projects, with a focus on offshore wind, subsea cables, and marine infrastructure. You will develop technical leadership and guidance across diverse environmental assignments.

You’ll lead workstreams, mentor junior consultants, and analyze oceanographic data while contributing to EIAs and other environmental assessments on national and international projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or MSc in Oceanography, Geosciences, Marine Geography or Coastal Science.
• Experience in marine physical processes, coastal science, oceanography or related field.
• Good working knowledge of marine/coastal processes and their interaction with marine infrastructure.
• Experience providing technical assessments, analysis or advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Good organisation and time management with ambition to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams and mentor junior consultants.
• Analyse oceanographic and physical data for projects.
• Provide technical input into EIAs and environmental assessments.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders as a trusted adviser.
• Develop consultancy and technical leadership skills on renewable energy projects.
