Job summary

Allen Marine Tours in Juneau, AK seeks a Marine Mechanic II to join our on-site maintenance team. You will diagnose and repair marine diesel/gas engines, generators, propulsion systems for vessels from 19 to 200+ feet and mentor junior mechanics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in marine, heavy diesel or related mechanical field.
• Experience installing and repairing electronic systems.
• Proficiency reading technical manuals, schematics, and marine engineer drawings.
• Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot diesel, gas and propane engines, generators, jets, shaft, pumps and propellers.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment and valves.
• Fabricate and install brackets and manifolds.
• Test marine engines and equipment.
• Lead, coach and assist junior team-members with all job duties.
